Deputy Sheriff (Basic)

DEPUTY SHERIFF (BASIC)                                                          
Salary Range:        $54,020-$85,374
Graduation from high school supplemented by training in basic law enforcement; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Certification as a law enforcement officer in accordance with the North Carolina Sheriff’s Training and Standards Commission. Valid North Carolina driver license required. Requires a Pitt County Sheriff's Office Application Packet (which can be obtained from the Pitt County Human Resources Department) and is due in Human Resources by 5:00 pm. on the closing date. The Packet is not available on the county website.
