Salary Range:  $33,666 - $46,935
Position Summary
Serve as the primary point of contact for members, assisting with account services, loan applications, and general financial needs.  Deliver accurate, professional support in-person, by phone, and electronically.  Responsible for processing, closing, and disbursing loans.  May guide or support other team members.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Greet members and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Open new accounts and maintain existing ones.
  • Explain credit union products, services, and policies.
  • Assist with direct deposits, account transfers, CDs, and IRAs.
  • Interview loan applicants, review credit reports, and evaluate loan requests.
  • Process, close, and disburse loans efficiently and accurately.
  • Conduct new member orientations and promote appropriate services.
  • Respond to members’ questions, complaints, or escalate as needed.
  • Support mortgage and home equity loan applications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union policies, products, and procedures.
  • Actively cross-sell services based on member needs.

Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of customer service, banking, or loan processing experience
Preferred:
  • College coursework in business or finance
  • Experience in a credit union or financial position

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Regular standing, sitting, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Manual dexterity for keyboarding and handling documents
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
  • Clear vision and hearing for communication and task accuracy
  • Occasional exposure to variable indoor/outdoor temperatures

Mental & Cognitive Abilities
  • Follow detailed instructions and procedures
  • Apply logical reasoning and basic math (ratios, interest, percentages)
  • Maintain confidentiality and remain calm under pressure
