Food Service Cook for Fun and Nurturing Preschool
 

We're looking for a talented, passionate Food Service Cook to join our warm and supportive team at the Sunshine Schools. As our Food Service Cook, you'll work closely with our teachers and staff to nourish the minds and bodies of our students through delicious, nutritious meals.

In this role, you will:

- Create healthy, kid-friendly menus that align with state and federal nutrition guidelines

- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks from scratch using fresh, local ingredients

- Maintain a sparkling clean kitchen that meets the highest safety standards

- Collaborate with our Food Program Coordinator on ordering, budgeting, and record-keeping

- Bond with students by visiting classrooms and incorporating kids' food ideas

- Attend staff meetings and bring your creativity and care to our team

We're looking for someone with:

- 2+ years experience cooking within a facility, school or medical setting - required

- Passion for feeding kids healthy, delicious food

- Strong teamwork and communication skills

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Commitment to cleanliness and food safety standards

- High school diploma/GED required

- Must Have a NC Background Check, TB Screening and Medical Report
