Aging Services Director

AGING SERVICES DIRECTOR
Full-Time, 40hrs/wk

The Council on Aging, a 501(c)(3),is seeking an individual to coordinate and oversee our Aging Services and Injury Prevention Programs. Position involves obtaining information from service providers about services and programs available to the older adult population across Pitt County and updating files. This position is responsible for managing a budget, generating a variety of reports and writing a marketing plan promoting Aging Services & Injury Prevention.

Requires a strong knowledge of programs administered through the NCDHHS, DAS and other community human service agencies or groups of resources and an understanding of budgets and contracts. Additionally, the position is responsible for recruiting and supervising staff and volunteers working in the Aging Services Department. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in recreation, social work, or related human services field and 1-2 years of experience with older adults in administrative, programming, and management. Individual must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be well organized.
