Our ideal candidate can expect to:
- Provide staff with design direction and support to ensure consistent and high-quality design.
- Be responsible for clear and consistent communication between each branch of the project team.
- Assist Project Managers in developing project scope, schedules, and fees.
- Plan, execute and deliver projects that meet the client’s budget and schedule by way of concept-based design processes.
- Assist as needed with construction drawings and specifications.
- Analyze and address technical and design issues with the project team to produce a constructable solution.
- Perform construction administration services including on-site observations, processing of submittals/substitution requests, reviewing/approving payment applications, and addressing RFIs.
- Work with local jurisdictions and permitting officials.
- Work with Technical Lead to further firm-wide initiatives to control quality, risk, and delivery of technical aspects of work produced.
- Assist with the implementation and continued development of Revit and BIM documentation standards.
- Assist in mentoring junior staff.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
- Collaborate with firm leadership, marketing, and business development to ensure continued office growth.
Our ideal candidate has:
- 15+ years related experience, with at least 10 years as a licensed professional.
- Experience with higher education and/or health care design.
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building systems.
- An informed understanding and experience with building envelope design and detailing.
- Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, systems, specifications, and codes.
- Experience in construction administration, costing review, and value engineering.
- A high comfort level working on concurrent projects of diverse scale and type in various stages of development.
- High proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- A penchant for creative and collaborative problem-solving.
