The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina to Extend Adoption Hours.

November 27, 2019
GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina (HSEC) is
happy to announce that it is expanding its adoption center hours.

The decision to increase hours to the public was made to allow more flexibility for interested
adopters. The goal is to place more cats and dogs into their loving forever homes and help families
find their perfect companion. Beginning on Friday, November 29th, the new hours will be as follows:

        ● Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
        ● Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
        ● Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
        ● Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

“HSEC staff, board members, and volunteers work hard every single day to ensure the animals in
our care are happy, healthy, safe, and loved. But no matter how much we love our temporary
residents, we know it does not compare to a family they can call their own,” said Sara Sherrill, HSEC
Community Engagement Coordinator. “I hope our new hours open up the opportunity to reach more
adopters who are looking to complete their family. Our number one goal is to place as many animals
as possible into their forever homes and I believe these new hours will take us in the right direction
in saving as many lives as possible.”

Since January 2019, the HSEC has placed 330 animals into loving adoptive homes.
“We are excited about the new hour change,” said Shelby Jolly, HSEC Shelter Director. “We hope
that with being open more often, we will be able to unite more adorable animals with their forever
families. Our community means so much to us, so we are very happy to extend more flexibility in our
hours so they can come find their new furry friend.”

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina invites the community to be a part of its lifesaving mission.
