The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina provides an average of 3.7 million pounds of food and non-food essentials a month to low-income clients through partner agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs and senior centers. The Food Bank has six warehouses across the region in Raleigh, Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Southern Pines and Wilmington, serving 34 counties and covering nearly 19,000 square miles.
In addition to distributing food to those in need, the Food Bank also works on the root causes of hunger, sponsoring programs that educate children and adults on how to find the food they need to become self-sufficient.
