Tar River Community Science Festival

The Water Resources Center at East Carolina University is pleased to announce its second annual Tar River Community Science Festival to celebrate the Tar River and build relationships with our local communities. 

The festival features activities for all ages, including learning about water-related issues in the region, kayaking and paddleboarding, face painting, live entertainment, food trucks, hands-on science activities, and much more.  

Over 20 organizations will be joining us in the celebrations, giving you and other community members the opportunity to learn more about their philanthropy and engagement in our region. Get excited to meet participating vendors like the Greenville Museum of Art, N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences and North of the River Association.  

The event will take place at the Town Common in Greenville, North Carolina, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 7, 2023.
