Raising an Athlete - What Every Parent Needs to Know

Do you have a child that is currently playing a sport, or is interested in playing sports this upcoming 2019-2020 school year? Is your athlete a rising 6th-12th grade student? If you answered yes to these two questions, you don’t want to miss this FREE EVENT! Nearly 90 percent of teen athletes will sustain an injury in sports. Knowing how to recognize the signs and symptoms as a parent is important! Parents and youth will learn about important sports injury prevention topics such as SPORTS NUTRITION, CONCUSSION AWARENESS, and GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP from professionals in the field.

Each child in attendance will receive a prize-filled sport bag! Event includes a free 3-course dinner buffet, interactive breakout sessions, and door prizes. For more information, contact LaTangee Dickens at (252) 847-9211 or email LaTangee.Dickens@vidanthealth.com.
