On February 11, 2017, the Pitt County Coalition on Substance (PCCSA) will host the 2nd annual Dinner of Hope in the Grand-Ballroom at the Greenville Holiday Inn. All proceeds will go towards reducing opiate abuse and underage drinking in Pitt County through our coalition’s community education and our Youth Team activities focused on preventative education sessions and advocacy. Tickets for the fundraiser event are $30 and are available through the Dinner of Hope Facebook event page via EventBrite. Tickets are also available by calling the PCCSA office phone number at 252-328-2827. Ticket purchases include dinner, a live musical performance from the East Carolina Jazz Band, and also a presentation from the star of Healing Neen, Tonier "Neen" Cain. Neen will give her presentation describing her past experiences while being incarcerated 83 times and how she came to be an advocate for others whom are addicted to drugs. Prescription drug abuse causes one death every 19 minutes in the US and underage drinking results in one death a week in North Carolina; we want to reduce these numbers to save our youth and family members. When we work together, we can make a difference!
