Wilmington, NC based reggae band Elephant Convoy was formed in 2013 when brothers Javier Rodriquez (guitar, lead vocals) and Daniel Rodriguez (drums) joined Graham Rattray (bass) to create and pay homage to the roots reggae genre that sparked their musical creativity and conscious spirit. In 2014, the Convoy began composing original material and added Kay Christiana(keys) and Mike Eakins(vocals, guitar) to the group soon after, solidifying the vibrant reggae sound and smooth grooves they’re known for locally. The band’s first album “Foundation” was released in Spring of 2015. Since then, Elephant Convoy has opened up for acts such as Collie Buddz, The Movement, The Expendables, RDGLDGRN, Signal Fire, TreeHouse, Sun-Dried Vibes, Tatanka and more.. The band is currently writing new music and is touring to spread their modern roots reggae vibe. Recently the Convoy has added Andy Stanfill, a diverse horn player, to the line up, helping them achieve a big sound.
